Ability tests or aptitude tests are a standardised way of assessing how well people typically perform in varying work tasks, respond to problems, and are able to demonstrate learning agility and critical thinking skills. They have the advantage of measuring potential rather than simply academic performance, and are often used to make predictions about how people will perform in a work setting. Candidate results are scored by comparing their performance with the results of others who have completed the same assessments; known as a ‘Norm Group’. All of our aptitude and ability tests have a range of Norm Groups to ensure assessment at the appropriate level.

We provide a range of ability tests for different purposes. These include measures of Abstract Reasoning, General Aptitudes (Verbal, Numerical and Perceptual Reasoning) and Practical Aptitudes (Spatial Ability and Mechanical Aptitude).

To purchase ability tests you are required to be certified in BPS Qualification in Occupational Testing (Ability & Personality).
